Tankavaara Goldvillage has seasonal activities:
At the summertime we prospect gold and learn the history of gold and Lapland. You can also meet professionals and go see the guided tour to real gold prospecting mine.
In the autumn it is possible to prospect gold until the water is frozen. You can also see the beautiful autumn colors and pick berries and mushrooms. There is a lot of nature pathways that leave from the Tankavaara to the national park of "Urho Kekkonen" We also have annual celebration of KaamosJazz.
At winter time we focus to enjoy the truly beautiful and peaceful nature of Lapland.
There is no more mystical journey than to go to full moon skiing in the silence of of Tankavaara.
We don't use sport skis and do not ski fast. We enjoy the landscape.

Evening in the Kota
Minimum 4 person, maximum 25 person
Kota open at the top, in the middle is a fireplace, and over the fireplace is a pot and in the pot is reindeer meat and something else.
Reindeer stew becames welldone, coffee, and fried pancakes delight the taste buds.
With good weather in the sky are the aurora borealis and there is no human lights.

If you want more action, try the old style sled "Napakelkka" or wooden ice skates. In the winter night we can see the arctic lights "Aurora Borealis" and that we can see clear and bright, because we don't have any other lights near.
